I've never seen more realistic destruction sequences in my life. That and the fact that there was simply so much of it compared to any previous movie.

District 9 was the better movie for sure, but I think 2012 had better -Anthony Hardinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03612552329888643947noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3407454496468251136.post-15939535037760277882010-01-07T18:49:05.981-05:002010-01-07T18:49:05.981-05:00I was surprised about Wild Things, but we'll s...I was surprised about Wild Things, but we'll see how this shakes out...Joey Magidsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10465870030357008701noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3407454496468251136.post-12576794318569224872010-01-06T17:34:49.401-05:002010-01-06T17:34:49.401-05:00Myles,

Interestingly enough, the WETA crew who I believe did most or all of the effects work on "District 9" were also involved (I believe in a minor capacity) on "Avatar".
Although I believe all three JacksonTruaxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11592201996032165893noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3407454496468251136.post-14764279779890974362010-01-06T13:52:56.437-05:002010-01-06T13:52:56.437-05:00The snub for Where the Wild Things Are is somewhat...The snub for Where the Wild Things Are is somewhat surprising. The general consensus is that Avatar has won this one. I expect the nominees will be Avatar, Star Trek, and hopefully District 9 (especially if these Best Picture talks turn out to be true).Myles Hugheshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03846797532056197919noreply@blogger.com
