I haven't seen anything in the trailer to make me think she will. Although she is a good actress, I'm not blown away by her. She has done some good films though.
She has always been one of my favorites. I find her simply magical in most of her films, especially Baker Boys and I Am Sam. Hopefully, she finally gets her oscar this year.
no this is just wishful thinking, the film has already been out in the uk, with 2 star reviews, the performances arent bad, but that's as far as it goes.
She's going to win, for sure. Stephen Frears=an actress's dream come true (Dame Helen and Glenn Close) and the subject matter of the film is totally what Oscar loves--beautiful people getting older and coming to terms with that fact.
I hope so. God I still can't believe she didn't win for TFBB and didn't get a nomination for White Oleander. She's a goddess.
ReplyDeletei think she's overrated

ReplyDeletewith the right publicity, Stardust would have been her huge come-back...that film is such a gem.
ReplyDeleteBut anyways, I'm interested in seeing what she has to offer in this
