Today's Posters: Alice in Wonderland, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, and The September Issue
First, a familiar picture becomes Burton's first official poster for Alice in Wonderland: Next, Cloudy with a chance of Meat Balls rains on the animated parade:
The film looks stunning, or what I've seen of it from the stills. I love Burton as a director and I think he has done some truly incredible work.
Two points I'd like to make
- I was disappointed with his remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - the only bits that were any good (once inside the factory) were totally Depp's performance. So am I going to be disappointed with this?
- Is his Mad Hatter too Burtonesque? And is it a problem if it is?
- And thirdly, because I can't count, I just loved Martin Short's version of the Mad Hatter in the TV miniseries of Alice, and will this put me off Depp's performance?
I am sensing Oscars for this baby though, if not in acting, then certainly in looks!
Love the poster for Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs...can't wait to see the film version of this funny and silly children's book...should be pretty good.
Who would you like to see be the main villain in the next Batman film?
