It's sometimes difficult for me to evaluate whether these types of movies will be good or not based on the trailer. I'm always cautious of the "European fluff", so I'll have to wait. For me, this looks interesting, but I'd have to wait for the whole product to really evaluate.
I like how they made it a point to show that Christopher Plummer has never been nominated. By showing "Academy Award Winner Helen Mirren" and "Academy Award Nominee Paul Giamatti" directly before and after his lonely name.
Christopher Plummer feels like supporting in this trailer, and I really doubt they would focus it more on Mirren and McAvoy if the story really wasn't centered around them, since it would sell the movie the wrong way, and that a movie about Tolstoi in which the author is realy the main character would be easier to sell to audiences than this one.
I say the category fraud claims are probably wrong, people just think he's lead because he's a veteran playing Tolstoi.
Who would you like to see be the main villain in the next Batman film?
