I like it, though does the blocky lettering, the fact that it's imposed over a cityscape, and the diagonal styling remind anyone else of the Zombieland poster?
More people know Nolan from the Dark Knight than Memento or Following? I wouldn't have guess that . . . The first poster was too much like the Joker Dark Knight poster.
Also, I'm not a fan of the tag line "You're mind is the scene of the crime". I appreciate the minimalism, but it's almost too pedestrian.
Most of us who follow this sight probably know Nolan from "Memento", "Following", and even "The Prestige"; however, we're not the rest of the world.
It doesn't matter whether you're a fan of the film or not, the massive name behind "The Dark Knight" is an extremely effective marketing tool for WB to use. To me, it makes a million times more sense that they went with TDK rather than "Memento".
No need to explain brother, I was joking. The 'Dark Knight' made three times more than some countries' GDPs. Most people probably never heard of 'Following', and 'Memento' hasn't been seen by 3/4ths the number of people that saw the 'Dark Knight'. (I have no research or anything to back these numbers).
Who would you like to see be the main villain in the next Batman film?

ReplyDeleteYes, though one would assume this has far less of the undead in it, though I'd be pleasantly surprised if it did...

Lol, I understand. The way you said it, it kinda sounded like you were being serious, lol.
ReplyDeleteI can see how it came off that way. Whenever I write anything, it's best to assume that I am joking around. Thanks for following the site btw!
