Here's a clip from the article:
It’s official: Scream 4 is a go. Dimension Films announced today that the fourth iteration of the popular series is back and starting production this spring. Kevin Williamson is writing, Wes Craven is directing, and Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courteney Cox have all signed on to reprise their roles from the original Scream movie. The veterans are set to join a new group of young actors who have yet to be announced. Scream 4 will be released on April 15, 2011.
What do you think? Is there room in your hearts for a fourth scare from this franchise?
Perhaps I'm a glutton for punishment, but I'll see it...
ReplyDeleteThey'll likely kill of the old characters and use the new ones for another two or three movies.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't doubt it, but they might make it through, though the surviving new one(s) is the best bet for future installment protagonists.
ReplyDeleteWhilst I most certainly am intrigued, I feel a little ripped off. The third, and well below par, installment of the "trilogy" promoted itself as the final chapter or "Final Scream".
ReplyDeleteDid somebody say Wes Craven, Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Kevin Williamson suddenly need a pay-cheque?
One would think they'd comment on all of this in the film, but perhaps I'm giving it too much credit already...
ReplyDeleteHaha let's just hope it's a better explanation than they find ANOTHER tape of Jamie Kennedy from beyond the grave.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed...
