Entertainment Weekly reports that Rachel Weisz
Weisz's fiance, director Darren Aronofsky will direct and produce, along with his producing partner Scott Franklin and their Protozoa Pictures film company.
The project had been rumored to be a TV
The magazine says that Jackie "catalogs the four days between Kennedy's assassination and his burial, showing the beloved Kennedy at both her most vulnerable and her most graceful."
-I've heard the script turned some heads in Hollywood, so we'll see if this turns into a future Oscar player or not...thoughts?
It sounds incredibly interesting, to me at least...
ReplyDeleteDefinitely sounds like a great project for everyone involved.
ReplyDeleteIt's always interesting to see the quality of work from actors especially when their partners are the one's directing those wonderful performances, and this I'm sure will take no exception...
I'm always interested in a project relating to any Kennedy, so I'd love to see this turn out great...
ReplyDeleteYea, this must be some kind of a dream project for you, Joey. I mean, it's one of your favorite filmmakers making a film about one of your favorite subjects...
ReplyDeleteMore or less. Jackie isn't a big deal to me (I'm still waiting for the great JFK/RFK/Teddy biopic), but in Aronofsky I trust, so I'm in...
ReplyDeleteI could see it being kind of musty (like The Queen), but it could also be a masterpiece character study in the making...
ReplyDeleteI think it'll be much better and more interesting than "The Queen" (a film which I really didn't like), but I understand your comparison...
ReplyDeleteI found The Queen fantastically acted, but a bit of a bore...so I didn't hate it or anything (I know it's beloved by many).
ReplyDeleteAnd cool, glad the comparison didn't fall upon deaf ears...
ReplyDeleteThe Queen was a strange film in that it did have great performances but wasn't exactly a rivetting film to watch. I think this film could be brilliant - great talent acting and directing. I see paralelles between this and The Queen. I am hoping this happens soon!
ReplyDeleteAgreed and indeed, Matthew.
