Excuse the chaotic nature of the polls...

...as it'll be this way (short bursts lasting only a few days) so we can fit in all the major categories before the Oscars. Take this as incentive to vote early (if not often), though I promise they will return to normal length soon!

Today's the Big Day, so look for the DVD column tomorrow...

...something tells me everyone is more concerned with the nominations than my column, so I'll publish it tomorrow instead. Be sure to check here frequently this morning as we cover what the Academy decided to do!

In case you haven't noticed, the Blog and Main Page look a little different...

...so let us know what you think! The Blog has a new color scheme to it, and the Main Page of The Awards Circuit has a feed so you can see the new blog posts. There's also a new Feedback option found on the About Us page here, so leave some feedback there too!

New Predictions everywhere and an article on what the DGA might do highlight the latest updates to The Awards Circuit!

Yes, there's some very interesting new stuff to take note of. We start with new predictions in all categories. Start with Best Picture here and go all the way to Clayton's Golden Globe predictions here. Be sure to let us know how his predictions stack up with your own!
We also have a prediction/analysis article on the upcoming Director's Guild awards nominations. That article can be found here, so check it out and let us know what you think.
Finally, we're continuing to test out the New Blog, so try it out here and tell us which you prefer...

Debuting later today on the blog...the first installment of Jack-In-The-Box Office!

Yes, in the next few hours our newest writer Jackson Truax will be starting up a column that will run on the blog every Sunday (much like how my DVD column comes out every Tuesday). He will be your guide to the weekend box office, letting you know what films, both big and small, scored while also detailing which struck out. It's one of many new features you should expect to see this year, so stay tuned!

A new Poll is coming in a little bit...

It seems you guys and gals aren't the biggest fans of the expansion of Best Picture to 10, going by the results of the most recent poll, which is now closed. The newest one will be up within the hour, this time going back to our "favorite work by a filmmaker" route...look around the site and it won't be hard to guess who!

About that annoying noise...

Apologies, that noise that was on the blog was from the SAW VI motion poster, which couldn't be turned off...I deleted the post just to be on the safe side, but anyone who still wants to see it (and it's kinda cool) can go look here.
-Sorry again for the annoying noise!

A quick programming note for The Awards Circuit and the Blog

Just giving a quick heads up that in the next day or so we'll be adding some new reviews and articles to the Main Page, along with a mild change in format to the blog. It's nothing too startling, just organizing things a little better. I don't think it'll be a big deal, mainly just having all the news stories for each day in one post, all the posters in another, and all the trailers in another, so there are less individual posts, but still the same amount of comment...more or less, it lets you guys not have to scroll down as much. Hopefully it cleans things up a bit...stay tuned!
