ReplyDeleteI would choose the Into the Wild soundtrack as the winner. Eddie Vedder did an amazing job with the music and it fit the movie like a glove.

ReplyDelete1. Across The Universe...have you seen the DVD extras? a lot of thought and work went into recreating these songs. Most of it a big success.

3. Once...loved the songs...a great intro to original music that was recorded for the film. Nice
No Hairspray...big deal you recorded a soundtrack form a broadway show. Nothing new or innovative here.
Juno, compiled a a lot of already recorded tracks.
The award would go to Once. Juno had a great soundtrack, but it kind of gets annoying after a while.
ReplyDeleteI really do think the Academy needs to have this category. There have been many great soundtracks through the years that have gone un-awarded. I would rather have a best soundtrack category than an original song category.

ReplyDeleteI agree with Dan regarding Sweeney Todd. Go with the Broadway soundtrack - it's much better.
