The next film from James L. Brooks changes its title as well today!

Must be something in the water...here's the story from The Playlist:

James L. Brooks' romantic comedy starring Paul Rudd and Reese Witherspoon previously untitled and then known as "How Do You Know?" has once again undergone a name change.

Brooks has revealed to Vulture the film is now going by the title "Everything You've Got" though quickly added that the revolving door hadn't stopped yet and "there might actually be a third title coming soon... Titles make me nuts. I have a terrible time with titles.”

The latest iteration derives from a line by Witherspoon as she confesses to Rudd that "I mean, if you can't give everything you've got to whatever your doing right now, then you'll never be able to give everything to anything," a line that evidently resonates with Rudd.

"Two people meet on the worst nights of their lives," Brooks adds of the story. "And they’re being tested by adversity. I think the thing about life is, most of us reach that point where life can't be the same when this thing happens. It's just then when you have to give everything you've got and pray that it’s enough.”

The film also stars the likes of Owen Wilson and Jack Nicholson and is currently in post-production and is set for release on December 17th.

-This is definitely a film I'm looking forward to...thoughts?

Jack Nicholson to star in the Senior Citizen version of 'The Hangover'!

And yes, I used that exclamation point ironically. Here's the story from Cinematical:

The gentlemen are getting their hangovers on, the women are following, so it's only natural that the retirees want in on the drunken, debauched fun. According to Vulture, Jack Nicholson is circling CBS Films' LASt VEGAS (not a typo -- the title is a elderly gimmick), a film said to be the AARP version of The Hangover.

Penned by the very popular Dan Fogelman, the script centers on four men who were friends in the 1950s, but have become estranged in all the long decades since. They reunite in Las Vegas for the marriage of Billy, the last bachelor holdout of the bunch. That's the role Nicholson is eying. But the course of aged love never did run smoothly, and Billy falls for a lounge singer. Unfortunately, his friend Paddy also has his eye on her. Vulture has the first few lines of the script up if you'd like a pre-production spoiler.

The roles of the other three have yet to be cast, but Vulture is dreaming of Richard Jenkins, Morgan Freeman, and the retired Gene Hackman. If your memory is good, you might be thinking "But aren't Freeman and Nicholson already attached to something like this?" Well, you're half right! Freeman is attached to the very similar Dirty Old Men, a film that Warner Bros was hoping would be a Bucket List reunion. Is it possible to combine the two? We don't need that many dirty old men running around cracking wise about Viagra, and making trouble in Vegas.

-I linked to a story about that other film a long time ago, but this one sounds just as misguided, but hey, if it works, it'll be fun...thoughts?

Will Jack Nicholson be in the new James L. Brooks movie?

Maybe, according to The Hollywood Reporter:
Jack Nicholson may reunite with James L. Brooks, the filmmaker who directed Nicholson to Oscar-winning performances in "Terms of Endearment" and "As Good as It Gets."Nicholson is in talks to join the cast of Brooks' latest project, an untitled romantic comedy that stars Reese Witherspoon, Paul Rudd and Owen Wilson. Written by Brooks, the story sees Witherspoon as a professional softball player torn between two men, a solid guy played by Rudd and a charming ball player with a 94-mile an hour fastball played by Wilson. Bill Murray had been in talks to play the role of the father but ultimately lost interest. Nicholson, who had been itching to be in front of the camera and had been talking to several studios about certain projects, stepped in to help his old friend. The project is due to start lensing later in June on the East Coast. Brooks is producing with Paula Weinstein, Laurence Mark and Julie Ansell.Nicholson's deals are known for being notoriously hard to close and this one is still in the early stages.
-Brooks got him 2 Oscars, so this could be very exciting, though Bill Murray might have been even better in the role, not that we'll ever know...what do you think?
