I'm trying to figure out a way to avoid getting too hyped for The Dark Knight. I've been counting down intensely for the last year. But, I don't want to over anticipate the movie. I've done this a few times, and seldom does it turn out good for me (see American Gangster, Superman Returns, and Spider-man 3). I need to figure out a way to stop thinking about the Dark Knight until the 18th.
Any good advice on avoiding this?

Don't watch any old Heath Ledger movies, and pray the next two weeks go by fast!
ReplyDeleteGo see Wall-E again!!!
ReplyDeleteGo see Wanted this weekend, then see Hellboy 2 next weekend. Also, swear off spoilers and footage like I did. =)
ReplyDeleteI personally really look forward to Hellboy 2, so if you want something else to anticipate, the big red guy will be there for you.
Go watch Batman Forever and Batman And Robin again. The quality is so bad that they'll make you want to force yourself to stop thinking about Batman until The Dark Knight is out.
ReplyDeleteAnd stay away from message boards, clips, unofficial reviews, and any other spoiler-inducing material. I have completely failed at this and now know more than I wanted to against my will.
