Stone seems to be the word of the day (or week) with the dvd report this week. The Rolling Stones and everyone's favorite multicultural stoners lead the releases this week. The elder of the stoners however, grab the title of PICK OF THE WEEK with some help from director Martin Scorsese in:
Shine a Light
Fans of Scorsese, concert films, or the Stones would do well to pick up this excellent concert flick/documentary
-We also have Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay, which is exactly what you'd expect it to be. If you loved it when they went to White Castle, this is for you as well.
-Also this week, The Band's Visit is out, which missed out on a foreign film nod due to a technicality, Never Back Down, which is a decent teen fight flick, Doomsday, which is a cheesy apocolypse movie, and the unfortunate sequel War Games: The Dead Code, which seems unnecessary.
-My old school pick this week is Harsh Times, a very underrated Christian Bale flick, which is in the vein of Training Day and well worth a look.
-What will you guys be watching this week?
