V-Day Movie D-Day

Hi everybody! (Hi Doctor Nick!) Joey here on Valentine's Day (shudder) and in the spirit of things, asking what everyone would pick for their "romantic" movie for today.

I actually liked The Notebook a lot, and adore Love Actually, but I would go with the Richard Linklater combo job of Before Sunrise and Before Sunset....I dig realism.

How bout y'all? What movie gives your tear ducts a workout?

  1. I'd have to go with Annie Hall for best romantic comedy, and Casablanca for best dramatic romance.

If you're looking for more original picks, then I'd say When Harry Met Sally for romantic comedy and Brokeback Mountain for dramatic romance.

Damn, Valentine's Day has got to be the most contrived holiday ever.

  4. Casablanca for dramatic romance.

But for romantic comedy, there is one film that speaks to a special part of me, and is my favorite film in that genre:
    Punch-Drunk Love.
