If You Had Control Of The Nominations....

Indeed, if you guys (and gals) were able to pick the 5 nominees for Best Picture at the current moment, what would they be?

-Would The Dark Knight or Wall-E be able to break through their supposed glass ceilings for nods? Let us know!

  2. I haven't seen enough movies yet this year that I would consider good enough to make a list of five, but you can bet I'll have WALL-E and The Dark Knight on that list by the year's end.

  3. good point...if I had to restrict myself to only films I've seen so far this year my 5 would turn into:

    The Dark Knight
    Forgetting Sarah Marshall
    The Go Getter
    The Wackness
    WALL-E

Of those 5, only TDK and WALL-E have any hope of a nod

  4. Here's my current picks for a BP nod:

    Curious Case of Benjamin Button
    The Dark Knight

Interesting how Joey and I only have one disagreement.

My top 5 so far this year are:

    The Dark Knight
    In Bruges
    WALL-E
    Vicky Christina Barcelona
Happy-Go-Lucky (just saw it at Chicago film fest, loved it)

  12. Did you saw that most of us pick Wall-E for Best Motion Picture? The film should get the nomination!!! But, what are Wall-E´s oscar chances? What we can do for get that nomination for the robot? Movies like "Wall-E" just don't seem to sync up with Academy tastes.

    This is a batlle!! jajaja
