DVD goes abroad this week!

As per the title, two of the releases this week take place outside the United States, and one is even in another language. That particular foreign flick is also my PICK OF THE WEEK. It's:
I've Loved You So Long
This French domestic drama is rather powerful, with fine performances across the board. Of particular note is Kristen Scott Thomas, who wows with her showy role of a woman with a great deal of guilt and a bitter family to deal with. Her acting job in and of itself is worth seeking it out, but the film overall is damn good.
-Also out this week is Australia, the mess of a movie from Baz Lurhman. It really is a mess, but it's also a big spectacle with some good work from Hugh Jackman, so if Lurhman doesn't get on your nerves, this old timey feeling film is a decent bet for you to enjoy.
-We also have Tommy Lee Jones in the mediocre In The Electric Mist, the amazingly, mind boggling bad Beverly Hills Chihuahua, which almost has to be seen to be believed, and the tie in to this weeks release of Watchmen, called Watchmen: The Complete Motion Comic. If you're a fan of the comic or anticipating the movie, it's worth checking out. If not, don't bother.
-My Vintage pick this week is a true classic. It's Back to the Future, and anyone who has never gone back in time with Marty McFly owes it to themelves to correct that immediately. Both sequels are good as well, but they don't measure up to the first, and best, of the bunch.
-What will you be watching on DVD this week?
