Christian Bale Apologizes

A few days, the staff and our readers had an interesting discussion about the Christian Bale blow up. Some people tried to crucify the dude, while others took a more critical approach to the situation. I was upset at Bale for handling the situation like he did. He is a phenomenal actor, and does not need negative publicity to distract us from his talent. Nevertheless, like any respectful dude, he apologized for his melt down. He acknowledged that he was out of order, and took responsibility for his actions. As fans, we can't ask for anything more. So, it's time to close the door on this mess, and move on.

Christian Bale is set to have a great year this year. Hopefully, his year won't be defined by this mishap, but by his performances.

  1. Agreed, the guy is insanely talented and the fact that he has yet to score a nomination is criminal. He should have been nominated for Empire of the Sun, The Prestige, Rescue Dawn, etc. Maybe his work in Public Enemies will catch the eyes of the Academy finally. Summer last year proved to be a good time for supporting actors, and early release dates and early campaigning seemed to work well for Supporting Actor this year. Plus, Michael Mann is pretty well loved by the Academy. Maybe despite a summer release date, Public Enemies will become a big contender? I for one and super-excited for Public Enemies and am even looking forward to Terminator Salvation, simply because I am a big fan of the Terminator mythos.
