Is Amy Adams Oscar-worthy?

  1. I can see her as a nominee. AMPAS is getting younger and it is learning to embrace perfs from films that wouldn't had a chance 20 years ago.

  2. I really hope that Adams gets in...Enchanted looks fantastic and AMPAS needs to honor a children's film in a category other than Best Animated Film for once.

  3. I can't buy Adams getting a nomination. This seems like another case of a whole lot of buzz building at once, like Hairspray or Phantom of the Opera. I'll wait a month and see if she's still being talked about before I take her seriously.

  5. O.K. I've seen the film.

She's good, really good, but not Oscar good.

  6. I'm going to say no, she may be good , but uh no.

Nikki Blonsky has a better chance than her.

  7. Don't forget two american actresses: julianne moore and uma thurman. minor buzz, giovanna mezzogiorno, keri russell and tabu. Finnally, the trilogy: ellen page, julie christie and marion cotillard. after them, laura linney, keira knightley (I'm not sure about her, like Kidman), cate blanchett and jodie foster. the year could be interesting

  8. I don't think Amy Adams will be a dark horse to the Oscars. The list of comedy and/or musical performances of a female actor is full and strong: Ellen Page (Juno) and Laura Linney (The Savages) are the strongers actress. Later we have Nikki Blonsky (Hairspray) and keri Russell (Waitress)... Finnally we have Amy Adams. For a Golden Globe nomination: Strong posibilities but another Oscar nomination...
