An Update to The Awards Circuit: The Academy Tracker Page!

Indeed, new on the Main Page of the site is our new Oscar Tracker, which keeps a record of the films and/or performances that have Oscar Buzz so far in the year. It's a great way to get a sense of who the earliest contenders might be, and it's also a new way for you to interact with us, because if you see a film or performance missing that you think should be on there, let us know and we might just add it to our list. Take a look at the new page here!
-What do you guys and girls think of this new addition to the site?

  1. I think it's a good idea. I can't think of any others that should be added, although I would take off Billy Crudup for supporting actor. Not that he wasn't great, but the part was too small. I also feel like you are short-changing Watchmen by not placing it in contention for cinematography, sound mixing, sound editing, visual effects (the areas I felt in which it excelled).

  2. good point on Watchmen, though I don't see it happening...Crudup at this point is a contender, if only because if William Hurt can get nominated for one scene in A History of Violence, a small but terrific role like his isn't out of the question...especially since, like all characters in Public Enemies, the role is terribly underwritten, but Crudup elevates it
