  1. Scared about the rumors that it's too long...could hurt its chances.

  2. Running time hasn't stood in the way in the past.

Lord of the Rings, Braveheart, Lawrence of Arabia, etc etc etc.

  3. A very good movie(screening) but yes it is to long(Lord of the Rings Lawrence etc arent too long, it works for the movie this movie is too long) but the biggest problem. If you've seen the trailers you've seen the movie. Literally...nothing more too it but details.

  4. Well if the film is long, then the details must be important. The new trailer was so beautiful I nearly got teary-eyed at the end of it. From what I hear, the ending of the film is simply heart breaking and a real tear-jerker, and that Brad Pitt is phenomenal in it. Do you know if there are any reviews form the early screenings up yet?

  5. Um prolly not Because we all had to sign nondisclosue i love anonymous postings! The end is the best part of the movie its very strong. TO be honest though I was disappointed with Pitt, its not him hes great but its the role theres no meat to it. Its very straightforward. Blanchett steals the movie in my opinion I think its a very good film solid 9/10 thats a disappointment for me though because I've already given 4 other movies this year 10/10s...I mean literallly there is nothing wrong with the movie its really good, its beautifully shot, good script( a lot like forest gump good balance of humor and drama, fantastic makeup and art direction good performances its just way too simple. in my mind if you can see a trailer and know everything about the movie you cant be a great movie. Hes born old, he falls in love with a girl, he leaves to see the world, where he works on a boat during WWII among other things, he comes back when there the same age...so they can be together. thats the first 2 hours...in my opinion the ending wouldnt be a spoiler cuz u kind of see it coming from a mile away but I wont reveal it in case of spoiler worried freaks. thats the first 2 hours...and the trailer is literally that plus some stuff from the ending. literally what you see is the movie theres nothing mroe then that with the exception of the ending. thats hy i feel it wont deserve to be recognized as i fear it will be where a movie like Frost/Nixon which is fantastic, and Dark Knight may los to a film that is jsut too simple...

  6. I will say that the trailer gave me an inconsistent impression from Pitt. At times in the trailer, he seemed to be playing against type a lot and portraying this innocent, kind soul who has a deep appreciation for life. Other lines seemed out of place in the delivery and a bit stale. We'll have to see what the critics say. Hopefully it will premiere at a festival or two before it's release. That kind of secretive tight lipped marketing didn't fare well for Sweeney Todd last year, and last year basically proved that having a good run at the festivals and getting critics behind you can basically seal a film's place. No Country for Old Men and There Will Be Blood proved this.
