More shots of ' The Lovely Bones'

Also, the first 2 pages of the script...

I'm not completely overwhelmed by the movie (In fairness, I have yet to read the book). I think Peter Jackson is great with the camera, and the cast is solid. I'm guessing it'll be a good film, but I'm not yet sold on it being a GREAT film. Any other thoughts?

  2. Personally I am thrilled its Wahlberg he suits the part perfectly and I think its a chance to show us what he can really do. Hosling was wayyyy too young for the part.

  3. I think the cast is great, but I'm worried about how Peter Jackson will handle it. He's a very tender director, and I hope he brings some of the brutal reality that was in the book.

  4. Peter Jackson can bring in the brutal reality and be tender at the same time. Just look at Heavenly Creatures. The love scene and then...yikes that murder scene, it gave me nightmares. If he could pull off both of those, I don't think he'll have a lot of trouble with this.

  5. I need to know a lot more about this film and the story before I'm sold on it. I have to say, after loving Jackson's last four films. LOTR and KK, I thought this one was a massive step away from the scope I had come to expect. But one thing that comforts me is, regardless of massive special effects and cinematography tricks, having watched most, if not all Jackson's films, I know for certain the man knows how to tell a story! You take away the size of his past four films and you're still left with some magical storytelling.
