Venice Film Festival

Variety has a list of films in competition at VFF.

What's noteworthy is the limited amount of American films. However, Darren Aronofsky's "The Wrestler" and the Coen's "Burn After Reading" are premiering.

I'm not sure how significant this year's VFF will impact the race, but in prior years, it's impact has been slight. But, I'm interested to see how critics will react to Burn After Reading. The trailer looked wicked good, and Pitt seems great in it.

You think the Coens might have another gem under their belt?

  1. The odds are usually in their favor, but either way I am going to see it as soon as I can.

  2. I didn't realize Aronofsky had a new film! It sounds very intruiging and I hope its much better than The Fountain, which made no sense at all.
