Milk and Happy-Go-Lucky get a ton of love. No love for the Dark Knight in New York. I guess the whole Gotham City = Chicago description really got to them. Here's a look at NYFCC picks for 2005, 2006, and 2007.

  1. So far it seems supporting actor is a two horse race between Ledger and Brolin, who is getting more and more recognized. Not sure that i like Ledgerr to be getting away from the Oscar.

As for best actress, Sally Hawkins gets closer as Winslet is nowhere to be seen. Good for Sally but horrible for Kate.

  2. This gives Milk a nice boost, as it's been doing well in the nominations but falling behind in the wins. Zero love for Benjamin Button or Dark Knight, and Revolutionary Road is nowhere to be seen.

I like that Sally Hawkins is slowly climbing back.

  3. Happy Go Lucky really securing its proper place, hopefully the GG's follow suit.

  4. Honestly, the only negative reviews I ever saw for The Dark Knight were out of New York, so that joke about them being mad about Gotham being in Chicago may have some substance after all....

  5. No love for Benjamin? So sad. Can't wait to see how the Golden Globes play out with their noms. Hopefully Kate Winslet will get at least one nomination.
