Al Pacino set to play Napoleon?

Don't quite see it, but it seems like Pacino is interested in playing the French Emperor. I have a lot of faith in Pacino as an actor, but a few missteps (88 minutes worth) made me question it. Ultimately, I'd like to see someone tackle Napoleon, but I'm not sure Pacino is the person to do it. Thoughts?

  1. You've seen him in Looking for Richard? He tackles those kinds of roles with force. He shoulda been takin' more roles like this.

  2. Mads Mikkelson looks exactly like Napoleon.

  3. He's a bit too tall though. As for the casting at hand...

*insert joke about Al Pacino's height here*

  6. Sadly I feel this will give Pacino another opportunity to ham it up even more.

  8. Pacino is brilliant, but not sure about him in this. He'd have to put on a bit of weight. Not sure who I could see playing Napoleon . . .

  9. Well, Frank Langella doesn't really look like Nixon, but that didn' stop him from turning on a great show. I think Pacino would be great.

Not sure about Mads Mikkelsen though :D
