Atonement, what a snub!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Into The Wild!
Glad 3:10 to Yuma and Hairspray got some recognition.
Wow, Johnny Depp got totally bitchslapped by SAG.
ReplyDeleteI believe that DVD screeners were not sent to the SAG members, which may explain why there were no votes for Atonement and Sweeney. Or, maybe, as you say, Johnny, they just didn't take to it.
ReplyDeleteThe Johnny Depp snub was a real shock. But, with him and other favorites like Denzel Washington losing out on nominations, it just shows how competitive and unpredictable this category is this year.
I'm thrilled at the nods for Viggo Mortensen and Tommy Lee Jones. And 3:10 to Yuma was mostly forgetten about; happy to see this wonderful film get some recognition finally. It's another one that's been criminally overlooked.
Alison, I agree with you, how could Depp not be nominated, unless the screeners were not sent out. It's the only logical explanation.
ReplyDeleteThrilled about 3:10 to Yuma, viggo mortnesen and tommy lee jones! Shocked about sweeney todd mega snub!! Specially johnny!
ReplyDeleteI mean, Hairspray???? And cate blanchet for elizabeth instead of laura linney... What were they thinking??????
