Cannes begins doling out some awards...

...and while the big ones won't come till tomorrow, here are the winners so far today:

Commendations: “Another Year,” Mike Leigh; “Poetry,” Lee Chang-dong

-I'm thinking tomorrow's Palme d'Or is between Another Year, Biutiful, The Housemaid, and Fair Game, but who knows...thoughts?

  1. As for the out of competition slot, I think there might be something given to Blue Valentine, but it's just a hunch right now.
