Best Director

Joel Coen and Ethan Coen - No Country for Old Men

another seemingly unstoppable force

Penn might be the only guy aside from PTA with a chance to stop them, but it's not looking very likely

Thoughts?

  1. sigh, and with that Tim Burton will never get a Best Director nomination....I wonder if he can act

  4. I'm not disappointed. I loved No Country for Old Men and There Will Be Blood, and Daniel Day-Lewis certainly deserves the recognition he's getting in my opinion.

But there were so many excellent films and performances this year. It's nice when the love gets spread around. I'm glad that at least some of the critics associations awarded others.
