Here comes the news : Spielberg's Harvey gets a Lead?

Looks like Robert Downey might be taking the lead for Spielberg's remake of Harvey. Also, there are competing Lincoln movies in the works, pitting Redford against Spielberg. I hope Spielberg gains more traction in the development of the Lincoln movie.

  1. I never heard of this and I HATE the idea. No one...no one should touch Josephine Hull and Jimmy Stewart....sigh...that being said I am so going to go see this. But casting needs to be ace for the sister. Who do you suggest?

  2. I'm in the same boat. I hate remakes of great movies. I'm not sure who I'd like to see as the sister. That's a great question. I have to think about that one for a bit.

  3. As much as I love Robert Downey, Jr., am I the only one who's beginning to get sick of seeing him in so many films?

He's a very talented actor, don't get me wrong, but I personally think that he should start working less, and maybe not take every single role he's offered.

  5. I hate remakes, but I always give Spielberg the benefit of the doubt. So, I'm kind of in on the new Harvey too.

Downey isn't taken anything for granted. I think he's a great actor. If he does something well, then why should he limit his performances? Also, given that he had a huge problem with drugs, perhaps he views acting as a way to stay busy and away from whatever drugs he took (just a thought).
