In the news:

Mark Boal, the writer of 'The Hurt Locker', will receive the fourth annual Gucci Group Award for his work on the film.

Dimension (the other label of The Weinstein Company) is still going strong and expanding, and among other things may be hiring the director of 'My Bloody Valentine 3D' to write and direct a third 'Halloween' film...in 3D, along with a remake of 'Children of the Corn'.

Variety calls their fallen brother Army Arched the last of a generation, in a way.

Finally, it appears that Halle Berry has her eyes on a new project, an action-thriller.
