  1. Glad to see Moon got showered with praise...

I really want to see In The Loop, I've heard nothing but great things.

  2. Hey Joey, did you see An Education? I caught it this weekend, and while the performances did more than impress, the film didn't quite live up to my expectations.

I did also see A Serious Man and I enjoyed that one much more. They are both worth seeing, but I felt the Coens' effort brought much more to the table.

  3. I'm seeing An Education in the morning, as some schedule conflicts prevented me from seeing it the last week or so...look for a review on the next update (if you're curious what I saw instead, check out the new reviews...)

  4. Will do. I'll have my Education review up this week. I'm interested to see what you think. Like I said, the performances were terrific but in terms the storyline, it just kind of had a "blah" feel to it. I'll probably be giving it 3 stars out of 4.

Word of advice: Don't overlook Sarsgaard's performance. Mulligan is terrific, but in my opinion, Sarsgaard's character was a much more interesting one to study.

  5. Suffice to say, he's one of my favorite actors, so that won't be an issue Danny

  6. Glad to hear it! He really deserves some Oscar attention.

  7. By the way, how creepy was he in Boys Don't Cry?

  8. We shall see about the Oscars, but yes, Boys Don't Cry represents some of his finest work

  9. One of the best dramas I've seen all year! The cast was amazing, and the music haunting. Here's a great interview I found with Abbie Cornish talking about her character in the film, and how she turned to Keats' original poetry to answer questions during filming. You can find it here:
