Lynn Redgrave, the British film and stage actress who hailed from a well-known theatrical family, has died after a battle with breast cancer, her publicist said. She was 67.
Redgrave died Sunday night at her home in Connecticut, publicist Rick Miramontez said. Redgrave had been treated for breast cancer in the past several years.
"Our beloved mother Lynn Rachel passed away peacefully after a seven year journey with breast cancer," said her children in a joint statement.
The London-born Redgrave, the sister of actress Vanessa Redgrave, starred in a series of 1960s films including "Georgy Girl" which won her an Academy Award nomination before returning to appear in a series of films in the late 1990s.
