Today's News: Avatar's site crashes in a rush for IMAX tickets, James McAvoy to star in Seth Rogen's "cancer flick", and more...

In the news:

The official site for 'Avatar" crashed for a while yesterday while people rushed to get free tickets to the 16 minute 3D extended trailer...though yours truly was lucky enough to secure two tickets.

It appears that James McAvoy will star alongside Seth Rogen in the adaptation of the memoir "I'm With Cancer", with the director of 'Friends with Money' (among other things) helming.

Lionsgate has picked up Matthew Vaughn's Comic-Con hit 'Kick-Ass' for release and will be putting it out in 2010.

Robert Redford seems inclined to make his own Lincoln related movie, so watch out Spielberg!

Anthony Mackie has joined the cast of Matt Damon's sci-fi film, also starring the likes of Emily Blunt.

Finally, Martin Hynes, the director of The Go-Getter (one of my absolute favorite films from last year) has signed on to direct a new project, this one an interesting sounding fantasy.

-Thoughts?
