EW dishes on who got the 5 biggest Oscar boosts at the Toronto Film Festival...

The entire article is available to check out here, but this is the rundown:

1. Up in the Air
2. Gabourey Sidibe
3. Colin Firth and Julianne Moore
4. Clive Owen
5. Joel and Ethan Coen

-I'm sure there's some ommisions to be found, but overall it's a decently solid list...thoughts?

  1. Up in the Air I think had the best festival, though Whip It also went from an afterthought to being well liked, so that's something as well, plus Get Low and such...

  2. Yes, I would definitely add Get Low to that list. I also think everyone involved with Precious benefited. It's a strong contender for not only Sidibe, but also for Picture, Director, Supp. Actress, and Adapted Screenplay. But this list does a solid job.

  3. Indeed, I feel like I'm mildly skeptical about Precious to a degree, but I realize that I'm in the minority on that one, but yes, overall, it's not a bad list

  4. Glad to here about Clive - the picture sounds like it has potential to be great or the potential to be cheese - if it's great that is wonderful!!!
