What are the 100 best movies released in the UK this decade?

Well, the list is here in its entirety, but I'll throw the top 25 below for all to see and discuss:

25. Dancer in the Dark
24. 28 Days Later
23. Man on Wire
22. Far from Heaven
21. Good Night, and Good Luck
20. Donnie Darko
19. United 93
18. Let The Right One In
17. Brokeback Mountain
16. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
15. Downfall
14. 4 Months, 3 Weeks, and 2 Days
13. This is England
12. The Lives of Others
11. Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan
10. Hunger
9. The Queen
8. Casino Royale
7. The Last King of Scotland
6. Slumdog Millionaire
5. Team America: World Police
4. Grizzly Man
3. No Country for Old Men
2. The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum
1. Caché

  1. It's an interesting list, definitely gives me something to think about when I compile a best of the decade list after the new year...

  2. Very interesting and a lot of the choices I can agree with...just not in that order =)

  3. This is one of the strangest lists of its type I've seen. Some of the choices are downright bizarre. Plus it seems a little weird to create a "best of the decade" list before the decade is over...

  4. Definitely agreeing more with pmasd. Some of these are shocking (Casino Royale, Team America, even the Bourne films). I definitely have a lot of qualms with this list but it did appreciate a lot of deserving films as well.

  5. it spurs conversation, which is always good

  7. I remember watching 28 Days Later when it came out and thinking it was all right. I just watched it recently, and I honestly felt that had it not been for the extremely lackluster 2nd half (which was a great idea in concept and had some good scenes, it was just handled poorly), the 1st half had the makings of being not just the best horror/zombie movie I've ever seen, but an incredibly powerful drama at the same time.
