Entertainment Weekly's Dave Karger puts out his Oscar Predictions!

Behold:

Best Picture: The Hurt Locker
Best Director: Kathryn Bigelow, The Hurt Locker
Best Actor: Jeff Bridges
Best Actress: Sandra Bullock
Best Supporting Actor: Christoph Waltz
Best Supporting Actress: Mo’Nique
Best Original Screenplay: The Hurt Locker
Best Adapted Screenplay: Up in the Air

-That's how I see the race as well...thoughts?

  1. I could see Picture, Director, and Original Screenplay moving, but aside from that, the main categories are more or less set.

  3. We shall see...It's between Basterds and Hurt Locker in a tight race, but I kind of agree with most now that Bullock has it wrapped up.

  8. I think there's only ONE major thing that could change Bullock from winning. And that's the BAFTAs. Of the past couple of years there's always been one acting category change at last minute that the BAFTAs has always called. With the supportings both locked, it would not surprise me in the least if BAFTA give Carey Mulligan the Best Actress award and replace her back into the limelight just before Oscar time, ie Cotillard. If BAFTA go Streep, that too mixes it up. With Bullock NOT being nominated, someone else is going to get a boost RIGHT before Oscars.
