First up is the latest Red Band (not safe for work) trailer for the upcoming superhero flick 'Kick-Ass':

Next is a peek at an interesting looking dramedy by the name of 'The Joneses':

Lastly, we have the decidedly less interesting looking trailer for the 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' remake:

  1. By the by, I read the Kick-Ass script earlier and it's quite good...

  2. I'm honestly not that excited about Kick-Ass. For some reason it's just not that interesting looking to me. I'm more interested in Woody Harrelson's film "Defendor", but that's largely because I like Woody Harrelson, Sandra Oh, and Elias Koteas a lot more than the talent involved in "Kick-Ass"

  3. I'm going to check out Defendor very soon, but as for Kick-Ass, it won me over with a very interesting script. It's not an award winner, but it should be a lot of fun.

  4. I'll just come out and say it: I'm sort of excited for the Nightmare on Elm Street remake. At the very least it'll provide me with an interesting performance from one of my favorite character actors.

  5. I'm hearing fairly awful things about it, but I'll see it anyhow.

  6. I couldn't be more excited for Kick-Ass. It kind of reminds me of Zombieland...and I that was one of my favorite movies from 2009

  7. It's got a similar vibe. I sort of think of it as Watchmen meets Shoot Em Up with a Zombieland chaser, as filtered through Superbad.

  8. The Supderbad comparison is exactly why I don't have any interest in Kick-Ass and why I think I am destined to HATE the movie.

  9. P.S. Can you tell I'm not a fan of anything Judd Apatow or his "Apatow stable" puts out?

  10. Joey you couldn't have said that more perfectly and Kevin if you don't like those films thats your opinion but personally everything Apatow has directed have been amazing and his most of his productions (Pineapple Express, Superbad, Forgetting Sarah Marshall) I have also loved. The only one I really hated was Year One.

  11. I agree about Apatow. I see Kick-Ass being a lot of fun, going by the script.
