After the first two trailers I was highly skeptical. But now, a plotline emerges and looks like there's some damn good modern jokes and toy-gags galore. Hahaha Ken and Barbie. Very excited now.
This trailer was terrible. Looks waaaaay too modernized. I'm not going to say that this has ruined the hope I have for this movie, but Pixar has to fail (quality-wise) one day, and Hanks has been on one of the worst great-actors-gone-mediocre-streak (since '02) that I've seen...I don't know about this.
It did work with "Toy Story 2", to a certain extent. In my opinion, Pixar's best film to date is still the original "Toy Story". It could be nostalgia, but from what I remember of "Cars" (I need to see it again), it didn't really have characters who were nearly as spectacular as Woody, Buzz, Rex, Mr. Potato Head, and Hamm...
Who would you like to see be the main villain in the next Batman film?

It appears like the folks at Pixar have done it yet again...

ReplyDeleteAgreed, it looks very good.
ReplyDeletePerhaps Pixar will be visiting the Oscars as a Best Picture contender once again...
ReplyDeleteDepending on what the year in film looks like...perhaps.

ReplyDeleteWho knows. The trailer seems to have gone over pretty well, but you never know. We'll see what happens when it comes out...
ReplyDeleteI don't think this will be Pixar's inevitable first failure, I think that'll come next year with Cars 2.
ReplyDeleteYou never know. Perhaps Cars 2 will be their chance to have a do-over and improve upon the formula. Worked with Toy Story 2, so you never know...

ReplyDeleteAgreed, the only character I liked from Cars was Paul Newman's car. Since he won't be in the sequel I don't have high hopes.
