Has The Hurt Locker hit a bump in the road to Best Picture?

Likely not, but some people are working overtime to derail the film, so who knows. If anyone isn't familiar with the brewing controversy about one of the producers of the film, check out this article from Rope of Silicon here. I don't think it's a big deal, but no one can know for sure.
-Thoughts?

  1. Only for the Oscars would such a minor faux pas be considered even mildly relevant.

  2. Personally--I think it is irrelevant. But we'll see...

  3. Keep in mind, we don't know how often this happens without us finding out, but yes, it seems like no big deal.

  4. I don't know, I have been reading other blogs and they are pretty much saying that emergency meetings are underway to discuss this issue. It wasn't just a bad naive descision but also against the rules. I read it on "The Envelope" that the Avatar people are actually furious. This could be bad really bad. What a moron.

  5. Every site is pretty much taking sides, and I'm trying not to, so I'm staying out of it as best I can. That being said, the likely penalty is losing Oscar tickets, not votes.
