Today's Trailers: New looks at The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus as well as Me and Orson Welles and 2012

First up we have a new trailer for the anticipated Terry Gilliam flick with the annoying long and hard to correctly type name, 'The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus':

Next we have a new look at the Richard Linklater film 'Me and Orson Welles':

Finally, we end with a new look at the world ending in the popcorn movie '2012':

  1. how strange that of a group of trailers featuring perhaps my favorite actor (John Cusack) and one of my most respected (Heath Ledger), the only one that looks interesting to me is a film with Zac Efron in it...

  2. Dr. Parnassus looks like a normal Gilliam film, and just because this is Ledger's last film, it's not grabbing me that much. Just like most of his films.

Me and Orson Wells actually looks really good. The performances look really top notch, particularly Christian McKay. He seems to do a good job at embodying Wells without doing a hammy impersonation. Good trailer that has me anticipating this movie.

2012 looks so ridiculously over the top that it seems like this is the closest thing Roland Emmerich will come to self-parody. I'm not expecting a great film, but at least an entertaining one.

  3. 2012 is not my kind of movie.

Dr. Parnassus looks interesting, but mainly because its Ledger's last film and I am keen to see if the whole four actors, one character thing plays well. That and I love Colin Farrell (don't judge me).

Orson Wells looks really good. I'm not a big fan of Efron's previous, teeny bopper stuff's (it is what it is), because I'm not 12. That said, I think he has made some wise career choices (ie: stepping away from the musical and teen movies) and has good potential as an actor.
