-It's a strange nomination list, to be sure (but that's to be expected), but it's not surprising to see 'Nine' lead the way with 11 nods...thoughts?

  4. I'd say it's one of the 5 likeliest to win, with the other 4, in no particular order, being Up in the Air, Nine, The Hurt Locker, and Invictus

  8. For the last 4 years Satellite awards announced 12 best actress nominees each year, 5 of them got Oscar nomination, always. I haven't seen most of the performances, but anyway, I think these four is already a lock: Abbie Cornish, Carey Mulligan, Meryl Streep, Marion Cotillard.
