Buried, one of the more interesting films at Sundance this year, gets a Teaser Trailer!

I've heard a lot of good things about this script (I'll be reading it shortly to see if it's as good as some people have claimed), but for now we have only this intriguing teaser to work with:

-We'll know if it's any good when it plays in the coming days at Sundance...thoughts?

  1. Do you know if "Frankie and Alice" was selected? Is that film ever coming out?

I did a little googling to no avail

  2. No, it wasn't. It's coming out in the spring through a small distributor, possibly direct to DVD.

  3. That's rough. I was hoping that it would mark Halle's come-back.

Oh well, I can always re-watch "Monster's Ball" for assurance lol.

  4. Read the script about a month ago. Huge disappointment.

I have to imagine that the only reason it got into Sundance was the basic gimmick.

  5. It's at the top of my pile, along with Kick-Ass, Thor, and Inside Man 2. I'll try to get around to it ASAP...

  6. It's a quick read. Blast through it then read Kiss-Ass to clean your palate. That one's great.

  7. Haven't read it myself yet, but that's the first negative reaction I've heard about it. Everyone else that I've talked to that have read it so far have all had wonderful things to say about it. I'll reserve judgment until I get around to reading it myself though.

  8. It's been a little while, but I distinctly remember hating the dialogue with a passion. It being painfully on the nose.

It's interesting that you guys have only heard good things, because the couple other guys I know who have read it also thought it was terrible.

Alas, as it has been discussed before, it's all a matter of individual taste.

  9. I read it and thought it was great. I plowed through it in about 20 minutes, and although some of the dialogue is clunky, it's a nailbiter so I didn't really mind. Plus I'm sure they've fixed some of the dialogue for the shooting script.

  11. I dunno . . . could just be my fear of being underground (caves/coffins/tunnels) that makes me very uncomfortable with this one!
