Might be unacceptable that I haven't seen Synecdoche yet. (Especially according to this staff.)
I LOVED seeing Wall-E (animated MASTERPIECE) on here. Man, I forget Traffic was 2000. That is the epitome of an ensemble performance. Del Toro's performance was one of the most gripping and subtly haunting I've ever enjoyed.
If I had to pick which of the 3 lists so far I related to the most it would have to be Myles' although I'm not too sure of Synecdoche being the best of the best. Again great to see Let the Right One In mentioned(my personal favourite film of the decade.)
I'm glad that, at decade's end, someone is still talking about Pan's Labyrinth. I think its one of the most amazing films I've ever seen.I saw it almost 3 years ago and I can still remember the ways it stunned me and the questions it raised about life and innocence and war.
Who would you like to see be the main villain in the next Batman film?

ReplyDeleteI'm surprised no one has mentioned Charlize Theron for Monster. I think that's by far the best female performance of the decade.
