  2. I would have a serious problem with a "Best Ensemble" Oscar. Acting Oscars were, are, and should always be among the most prestigious of thesping prizes, and part of that has to do with the fact that only four people a year recieve them.

The idea of a dozen actors getting the title of "Academy Award-winner" just for being part of a large (I could easily see it being a "Most" Ensemble prize with the Academy) cast screams bad idea. Can you imagine Eli Roth getting one if that award was presented to Inglourious Basterds this year?

  3. I agree that I'm not a fan of the Ensemble review, but ironically, Eli Roth would be fine in my eyes with an Oscar.

I'm of the opinion that more awards are fine, they just have to be the "right" awards.

  4. I'd be okay with an Ensemble Oscar category but it would need to go to the Casting Director, not the cast. Casting Directors need an award of their own.

  5. That would make a lot of sense to me. I also liked the Stunt Coordinator award they discussed a few years ago as well, but that's just me.
