...according to what James Cameron said at a recent Q and A. The story originates here. There's potential for an interesting franchise no doubt, but I'd like to see a bit more story to go along with the wonderful visuals. -Thoughts on a potential trilogy of Avatar films?
I don't know whether to be happy or upset about this. One one hand the film was beautiful and I am curious to see how they would do a sequel, but I don't want sequels to ruin the original for me if they are disappointing.
If he hires a writer with some original ideas and takes the series in some new directions, the sequel could be the next Empire Strikes Back, since, after all, Avatar has been frequently compared to A New Hope.
Who would you like to see be the main villain in the next Batman film?

ReplyDeleteIt all depends on what Cameron does with it...
ReplyDeleteIf he hires a writer with some original ideas and takes the series in some new directions, the sequel could be the next Empire Strikes Back, since, after all, Avatar has been frequently compared to A New Hope.
ReplyDeleteIt makes perfect sense why there's talks of a sequel -- in fact, I was kinda anticipating this before the film even came out.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I'm not sure how they can really make a sequel out of the film, especially with the way the film concludes...
I think they could figure something out, though I don't want to get into detail just in case someone hasn't seen it yet...
ReplyDeleteWell, 'Star Wars' concluded and we got 'Empire'.
ReplyDeleteIndeed we did...
