Are there any scripts still eligible for the WGA?

Well, obviously there are plenty, but with the recent news (the story begins/originates here) that Inglourious Basterds, District 9, Up, The Road, A Single Man, In the Loop, and Fantastic Mr. Fox are not eligible for nominations from the Writer's Guild, it certainly makes this particular precursor a bit iffy. Not all of them were likely nominees, but you'd think that at least 2 or 3 would have made the cut...
-What do you think the WGA will end up nominating now?

  1. Sorry I didn't get this out sooner, but I was busy most of the day and then gather information to have the story as complete as possible...

  2. If nothing else, it means that Avatar will get an original screenplay nomination ala Titanic in 1997.

  3. Also, I'm not 100% that they're all totally ineligible (trying to find out). It could just be that some didn't submit screeners, so their chances are slimmer...

  4. It seems like the films that didn't submit screeners, based on the article, just have a worse chance of getting in.

For instance, when the article mentions "Inglourious Basterds", a film that didn't submit any screeners, the same article says that Tarantino will still end up being nominated by the WGA.
