  1. Seems like so far, my predix article was way off, but that's the beauty of the precursor season...

  2. at this point would u say that Waltz is the favorite for best supporting actor for oscars?

  3. I'd say that's fairly accurate, since the "meh" reception for The Lovely Bones hurt Tucci, and short of one of the men from An Education making a play, none of the candidates really strike me as "win-worthy" besides Waltz...

  6. So, this is Christoph's to lose, huh?
At this point, I actually think even Monique's win isn't as sure as his.

All of his competition comes either from smaller films or pictures who lack the same kind of passionate support for the overall movie and the performance being campaigned. And let's not forget the academy loved to hand awards to villains in violent, male driven movies the past two years (Bardem, Ledger).

So happy, it was my favorite performance all year. Well, his and Laurents. And I'm no Tarantino fanboy.

  7. I think Waltz is in a real good spot, though McKay could be a spoiler...Mo'Nique is nowhere near a sure thing, though a potential Up in the Air vote split helps her...
