  1. I really doubt Up In the Air is going to win best picture. Is one of the frontrunners, no doubt, but it doesnt have what is needed to win, not yet.

Kendrick is locked as well as Renner, Freeman, Mulligan and Sidibe. Mo’Nique, no matter what the NBR says, is still the frontrunner in supporting actress. Precious is going to get hurt but the nomination for best pic is a lock.

Very cool that Harrelson got noiced as well as Star Trek (which could be in instead of Avatar come Oscar time), 500 Days of summer (great movie, maybe the comedy choice for Oscar?) and Basterds.

Eastwood… Got snubbed last year for a fine performance and nice directing. Could happen twice in a row. I like him but the Academy maybe tired of honoring him.

So the season begins. Whats the awards schedule then ?

  2. Inglouriosu Basterds and Wild Things and UP- All good stuff

RIP Nine, Lovely Bones, A Single Man, Precious

  3. Did they even see Nine? Or The Lovely Bones? Or Avatar?

Because the inclusion of Where the Wild Things Are over any of those baffles me... not to mention the fact that Nine probably should have every "Best Ensemble" award in the bag.

  4. I'm very happy with these

Basterds, 500 Days, Wild Things are my 3 favorite I've seen thus far so I couldn't be happier.

And can't wait for serious man and up in the air

  6. The only things they hadn't seen were Sherlock Holmes and Avatar. They had seen Nine...

  7. Wow, so I was off by a considerable margin...
Still, very happy for Up in the Air.

  8. I'm liking the love for Inglourious Basterds and A Serious Man. I also like that Precious was nowhere to be found. It was a good movie, but nothing spectacular.

All the love for The Messenger really surprised me, especially for Woody Harrelson. Good for him.

I like the way this year is shaping up, should be fun.

  9. It's Complicated won best ensemble, really?!? Happy for Up in the Air.

    This year should be interesting.

A note for Nine, this definitely isn't a big deal. The Reader didn't get one last year, There WIll Be Blood didn't get one, The Queen, Lord of the Rings (All of them), Gosford Park and A Beautiful Mind all failed to make NBR top 10 and got nominiations/won the Oscar
